Elchin Behbutov, the head of the CE Azerbaijani Committee against Tortures, and his deputy Bayram Sadigov carried out next monitoring in the places of temporary detainment under the Internal Affairs Ministry on Wednesday, Behbutov told Trend.
According to Behbutov, the monitoring was carried out in the regions Alibayramli, Salyan and Neftchala. “No serious injures were revealed during the examination. Drug dealers and the persons inflicted heavy body injures mainly kept in the places of temporary detainment. Their number is small. I did not receive complaints on keeping conditions and actions of the police. The results of the monitoring may be regarded as satisfactory,” he said.
Behbutov noted that the monitoring will be held in other regions of the country as well.
