Social Welfare Party to participate in by-elections to parliament
The Social Welfare Party (SWP) will participate in the by-elections to Milli Majlis [Parliament] scheduled for 13 May 2006, Khanhusseyn Kazymly, the chairman of the party, told Trend.
Kazymly said that official decision would be made at the next meeting of the Supreme Board of the party. We have not made final decision on participation of the party or its members in the by-elections, but it seems to me that it doesnt have any significance. Our goal is to participate in the by-elections, he added.
The chairman of the party also stressed that if they did not manage to participate in all 10 constituencies, they would try to win in some of them. We determine constituencies, where our members can gain victory in this regard, he underlined.
