The Azerbaijan People ` s Front party (classics) has renamed itself to the Azerbaijan People` s Front Classic party at its fifth meeting on March 26. 258 representatives from 65 regional organizations have participated at the meeting, Trend reports.
The chairman Miralioglu has reported on party `s activity in 2003-2006. His report was, however, criticized by the party ` s Supreme Mejlis chairman Zalimhan Mamedli. After a number of presentations by the party` s regional organizations leaders, a decision was taken to rename the party to the Azerbaijan People `s Front Classic party.
After a break, party congress was held to establish party leadership, financial and credentials committee and secretariat. Afterwards, Miralioglu has defined the agenda. Report of the initiative group of the party, creation of the program and codex, election of a chairman and other relevant questions were on the agenda. Despite both Miralioglu and Mammedli were nominated for the post, Mammedli has declined the nomination. Thus, Miralioglu was elected as the party chairman.
