Delegation of Bulgarian parliament met with members of working group on Azerbaijani-Bulgarian inter-parliamentary relations

The members of the working group of Azerbaijani Parliament on Azerbaijani-Bulgarian inter-parliamentary relations met with the delegation headed by the chairman of the committee of Bulgarian parliament on foreign policy Solomon Pasi who is on the visit in Azerbaijan, Trend reports with reference to the press-service of Milli Majlis [Azerbaijani parliament].

During the meeting, the Azeri parliament deputy, member of the working group on inter-parliamentary relations Elton Mammadov told that after regaining its independence, Azerbaijan established friendly relations and cooperated with the countries around the world. Official Baku is interested in developing the relations with Bulgaria, and for this purpose, a working group on inter-parliamentary relations was created in Milli Majlis. Then, Mammadov spoke about the ancient history of friendly relations between the two countries and about the importance of mutual visits of deputies.

Pasi noted that their visit aimed at exchanging views on the development of bilateral relations. The Bulgarian deputy highly assessed the role of Azerbaijan in the region. Pasi ruled out that Bulgaria supported the integration of Azerbaijan into NATO and European Union, and was ready to provide all types of assistance.
