MP Zahid Oruj, an Azerbaijani parliamentary representative to Parliamentary Assembly (PA) NATO, told Trend a rapporteur on conflicts in South Caucasus of the PA of NATO, Frank Kook, will visit Baku from 16 to 18 October, Trend reports
Oruj noted that previously Armenia and Georgia. His visit is part of general policy in respect to the region. The visit is implemented in connection with the review of the security sector, the reforms held here and other issues. The question causing conflicts are left aside. In this sense NATO tries to demonstrate its neutrality. As it seem, there are other countries that affect for broke out of such conflicts in the region. NATO's interference into the issue would mean deeper escalation of the conflict. For instance, it would mean reconsideration of the relationships between Russia and Iran, MP underscored.
A member of the delegation noted that during the visit to Azerbaijan Kook will be consider cooperation in the sphere of security, work of general legislation in the inter-parliament level.
Next meeting of PA NATO will be held in Canada on November.
