Georgia may fully replace the Russian gas at the expense of the alternative deliveries from other countries, the Georgian State Minister for Reforms Kakha Bendukidze briefed the media as a result of the governmental meeting. Our companies already have the necessary authorities to hold talks on the price, volume and schedule of the gas delivery, he underlined.
Bendukidze underlined that the alternative resources of gas are Azerbaijan and Iran.
Georgia will not pay off the political prices for the Russian gas in $230/1 per thousand cu.m, he said. Annually Georgia needs 2,5 bln cu.m of gas. Presently, Georgia has an agreement on delivery of 300 mln cu.m of gas via South Caucasian Pipeline.
