Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr.S.Ilhamgizi / Ali Aliyev, the Chairman of the political Azadlyg bloc, has stated that the bloc, represented Azerbaijani opposition, will hold a mass rally in Autumn.

The leadership of the bloc considers the holding of the rally in the summer to be senseless. However, Azadlyg supports the rally and plans on attending this protest which will be held by journalists.

The mass rallies of the bloc were set to be allocated in an area assigned by the Executive Administration of Azerbaijan. However the rallies which will be held in September and October, will now take place in the centre of the capital.

"In the Azerbaijani legislation, the permission of the government is required to carry out rallies and demonstrations .. Individuals, who choose to rally, must appeal to the corresponding bodies. The rally will be held where we decide! The location of the rally shall not be determined by the Executive Administration!" Aliyev stressed.

The grounds for these protests are to fulfill the demands on the changes in the Law on Freedom of Rally. Aliyev also stressed that the given Law should be discussed by the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe and the OSCE in autumn.

Azadlyg bloc unites three opposition parties - the Azerbaijani Popular Front, the Liberal Party of Azerbaijan and the Citizen and Development Party of Azerbaijan.
