Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr S. Aghayeva / Azerbaijani and Georgian Foreign Ministers, Elmar Mammadyarov and Gela Bezhuashvili, will coordinate further consultations on lingering conflicts within the framework of the UN General Assembly's 62nd session to be held in New York in September, spokesman for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Khazar Ibrahim, reported at a briefing on 27 August.
The Ministers are meeting in Batumi, Georgia on 27 August during Mammadyarov's working visit to Ajaria (Georgian province).
According to Ibrahim, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister has already visited Batumi oil terminal and met with representatives of the Azerbaijani community residing in Ajaria. The unofficial meeting with Bezhuashvili will take place in the second part of the day. Meanwhile, the ministers intend to discuss bilateral cooperation, energy links and cooperation prospects within the framework of GUAM.
The opening of an Azerbaijani consulate in Batumi is not on the agenda, but as the meeting is informal the ministers are free to consider any issue, Ibrahim said.
