Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. E.Huseynli / The thirty-third conference of the International Association on Education Assessment (IAEA) will be held in Baku, the Azerbaijani State Commission of Student Admission (SCSA) reported.
The SCSA is the member of the IAEA and takes part in the organization's programs. The IAEA has been holding similar events since 1975. In 2006, the annual conference was held in Singapore. Azerbaijan became the first country among the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) to hold such a conference.
Alongside with Azerbaijan, forty countries will be represented by 200 participants at the conference, including the US, Canada, Great Britain, China, Germany, Australia, Italy, Israel, Egypt, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines, Russia, Barbados, Hungary, Gambia, Georgia, Hong Kong, India, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Liberia, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Singapore, Sierra-Leonie, the South African Republic, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Tajikistan, and Uganda.
IAEA was established as an organization during a meeting held in New Jersey in 1974. Azerbaijan joined the organization in 1999.
