Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend cor. К.Zarbaliyeva / Azerbaijani National Security Ministry prohibited Avaz Zeynalli, the editor-in-chief of the Khural newspaper, to leave the country. Zeynalli was charged of the contravening Article 283 (kindling of race, social and religion hostility) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
Zeynalli translated Hitler's work 'My struggle' into the Azerbaijani language. Zeynalli was charged of feelings drawn to Hitler which he could not hide during translating the book.
Zeynalli was delivered to the Central Department on struggle against crimes of the National Security Ministry of Azerbaijan on 8 December 2004.
A criminal case was filed by the Ministry on 9 December and completed on 26 February 2005. The editor-in-chief brought an action again on 7 May 2007.
