Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Agayeva / International boat-race may be held in the sport -sanitary base of Kur in Mingachevir region of Azerbaijan by the end of 2009.Re-construction of the base would be completed by the end of 2009, Azad Rahimov, the Youth and Sport Minister, said to journalists.
Proposals to train sportsmen in the aforesaid sport base have been submitted to the Azerbaijani Youth and Sport Ministry by most sport rowing organizations of European countries.
The Mingachevir-based rowing base was constructed in 1970s. Presently, the base is being re-constructed by the Ministry.
