( dpa ) - Dutch filmmaker Fleur van Dissel arrived in the Netherlands early Sunday morning after being released from Kenyan custody Saturday.

Following her release, a spokesman of the Dutch Foreign Ministry said the Kenyan authorities would not press charges against Van Dissel but had demanded her immediate departure from the country.

Kenyan police arrested Van Dissel and two Germans on Thursday in Nairobi, where she had been filming opposition protests in the aftermath of the country's controversial December presidential elections.

She was arrested on suspicion of terrorist activities alongside the two Germans when they were about to board a flight at Nairobi's international airport.

Van Dissel, 45, who has travelled to Kenya many times, was in the country to follow opposition leader Raila Odinga, about whom she had recently made a documentary.

The documentary was broadcast on Kenyan television before the December elections. dpa rl gma
