Azerbaijan, Baku, 14 August /corr. TrendNews R.Ergub / Elnur Mammedli, who earned a gold medal for Azerbaijan at the Beijing Olympiad, stated that he will continue his successes.
"I believe that I will achieve success at the next Olympiad," Mammedli told
journalists in Baku in the ceremony of meeting Azerbaijan athletes, who earned
medals at the Beijing Olympiad.
Gold medal at the Olympiad for Azerbaijan was earned by judoist Elnur Mammedli, silver - Greco- Roman champions Rovshan Bayramov and Vitali Rahimov.

Miraliyev gained a bronze medal at the Beijing Olympiad.
Mammedli said that he overcame his rivals, using against them a method of ippon. "However besides this, in some episodes, judges were ill-disposed to me. I am very glad that I could prove my force and became the champion of Olympiad," Mammedli said.
Currently Azerbaijan takes 14th place in the list of medalists of the Beijing Olympiad.
