Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 24 / Trend , R.Ergun/ An Azerbaijani chess player continues leading in the FIDE Grand Prix tournament in Elista city of Russia.
Vugar Hashimov met with Shahriyar Mammadyarov within the framework of the ninth tournament. Hashimov gained victory with 1:0 score.
Teymur Rajabov, another Azerbaijani chess player met with Ukrainian Pavel Elyanov and won with 1:0 score in the Grand Prix tournament.
At present Hashimov with six points shares the first place with Russia Alexander Grishuk. Rajabov ranks third with 5.5 points and Mammadyarov - eighth with 4 points.
