Water-purifying facilities operated in Azerbaijan’s Imishli region

The module typed water-purifying facilities were checked in the Imishli region in Azerbaijan.

"The South Korean Hyundai company made Osmos water-purifying facilities were operated in the Mirzali and Muradalli villages in Imishli region with capacity of 80 and 50 cubic metre of water par day respectively. Some 3,380 residents of Marzali village will be able to enjoy drinking water from 17 sources, and 2,850 people in Muradalli village from ten sources, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources press service said to Trend .

In accordance with the Complex plan of activities for 2006-2010 to improve the environmental situation in Azerbaijan, the presidential decree on Measures to provide the population with drinking water envisages to provide drinking water from Kur and Araks Rivers.

As a result 55,000 people in the Yevlask, Zardab, Kurdamir, Imishli, Sabirabad, Saatli, Salyan and Nefchala regions were provided with drinking water.

The Agjabadi, Bilasuvar, Sabirabad, Kurdamir, Yevlask, Zardab,Imishli, Saatli, Salyan and Nefchala regions, as well as Babak and Sharur regions of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) will be provided with drinking water owing to funds saved by the Ecology Ministry.
