A total of 6,148 bachelors will participate in the second stage of the entrance examinations for master degree at the Azerbaijani universities.
"Some 5,144 of them are bachelors of the Azerbaijani sector of education and 1,004 - Russian sector. Some 4,227 of them are the current graduates and 1,921 - graduates of previous years and 45 bachelors are foreign citizens," the State Students Admission Commission (SSAC) Deputy Chairman Namiq Babayev told journalists on June 19.
The first stage of the master degree examinations took place on May 3 and the second stage will be held in Baku and Nakhchivan on June 21.
Some 33 Azerbaijani universities have 5,168 the planned places this year, Babayev said. "A total of 3,720 of them are in the Azerbaijani sector and 753 - Russian sector and 695 - on general competition," he said.
