Publication of a magazine devoted to women was resumed in Azerbaijan.

"The magazine Azerbaijan Gadini ("Woman of Azerbaijan") will have a new design and new content," state advisor on humanitarian affairs of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, editor-in-chief of the magazine, Fatma Abdullazadeh said to press conference on June 19.

There are more than 3300 media outlets in Azerbaijan, now of them around 600 operate. Nearly 400 newspapers and magazines are published, more than 20 channels operate. There are about 50 online media outlets, including 20 news agencies and the rest - Internet-resources in Azerbaijan.

According to Abdullazadeh, suspending the publication of the magazine, which had been published over 85 years, was a wrong step. "Currently it would be right if we start the publication of several magazines for women of different ages. Magazines must unite under the auspices of the magazine Azerbaijan gadini," - said the editor-in-chief of the magazine.

Abdullazadeh said that the journal will focus on problems of Azerbaijani women and bringing their public-political activities to the attention of the public.

First woman magazine in Azerbaijan was established in 1923. The magazine, which was called Sharg Gadini in 1938 was renamed Azerbaijan gadini. In recent years, due to financial problems, the magazine completely stopped its activity.
