The Azerbaijani Press Council will hold a roundtable on "Role of media in enforcing drug trafficking"
The Press Council and the South Caucasus Anti-Drug (SCAD) program organized the round table, the Press Council told Trend .
More than 3,300 media outlets were registered in Azerbaijan. Currently only 600 of them function. Nearly 400 newspapers and magazines are published and more than 20 television channels function. There are about 50 electronic media outlets, 20 news agencies, and the rest are the Internet resources in Azerbaijan.
Representatives of the relevant governmental agencies and social associations will take part in roundtable. The event will inform about the essence of the SCAD program. The distinguished media representatives will be awarded, the same source said.
