Peru ratified an official cooperation agreement with Russia on Wednesday to combat illegal drug-trafficking and the abuse of narcotics, Xinhua reported.
Peruvian President Alan Garcia and Foreign Minister Jose Antonio Garcia Belaunde signed a decree to ratify the agreement, which was signed in November 2008 during Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's visit to Peru.
The agreement includes information exchange, training on prevention and fighting against drugs, as well as measures for drug addicts' rehabilitation.
