Today, Azerbaijani Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov received an official delegation of the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for the Youth of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Ministry told Trend .
"The meeting also discussed the issue of signing a bilateral agreement in the field of youth policy and sports separately under the "Executive program of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Government of Jordan in the field of science and education, culture and arts, youth and sports, archeology, health and media for 2010-2012 years," the Ministry said.
The delegation included Secretary General of Jordan's Supreme Council for the Youth, vice president of the National Olympic Committee, Head of Delegation, Dr. Sari Hamdan, director general of the National Fund for the Promotion of the youth movement Abdurrahman Armuti, head of international organizations Arif Iskhakat and representative of the National Olympic Committee Narin Haj Tass.
The minister also stated about the close ties of Azerbaijan and Jordan's young people within the Youth Forum of Islamic countries.
Sari Hamdan stressed importance of real cooperation in youth policy and sports, and offered to the leaders of youth organizations of both countries to meet and discuss future projects, as well as the participation of Jordanian athletes in the training session in Azerbaijan.
