Germany hosted an international tournament on acrobatic gymnastics, attended by a mixed duet from Azerbaijan Eldar Huseynov - Jamila Ibrahimli.
Representatives of the fitness center "Neftchi" performed quite successful, ranking third. Azerbaijan lost to German and Russian acrobats, the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation said.
Six of Azerbaijani acrobats were awarded with the title "world-class gymnast". The corresponding document was signed by Secretary General of the International Gymnastics Federation Andre Gueisbuhler.
European champions Ayla Ahmadova and Dilara Sultanova among girls and Rustam Najafguliyev, Elnur Mammadov, Ilham Abbasov and Farid Mammadov among boys gained high achievements.
The international tournament on rhythmic gymnastics among juniors completed at Zvenigorod near Moscow. Azerbaijani acrobats participated in it. The best result was shown by a 11-year-old Janet Mammadova. She ranked fourth.
