An Azerbaijani court sentenced a man convicted of fraud today. Firdovsi Mammadov took a large sum of money from a fellow citizen, and promised to enroll his daughter in high school.
The Baku Heinous Crimes Court sentenced Firdovsi to nine years in prison.
Firdovsi took 17,000 manat from Jayhun Mammadov and was arrested after the latter filed a complaint with the local authorities.
