Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 29 / Trend M.Aliyev /

Families of those who became victims of the terrorism may receive a relevant status in Azerbaijan, Parliamentary Social Policy Committee Deputy head Hadi Rajabli said.

Rajabli proposed to equal the status of families of terror victims with the status of those disabled from the Karabakh war when allocating social benefits.

"There is enough number of families of terror acts' victims in Azerbaijan. Those people died as a result of our enemy's sabotages. Thus, they may receive a relevant status," he added.

He said work needed to be done on the relevant legislation for this end.

The Social Policy Committee's meeting mulled the issues to be included in the agenda of the 2011 spring session, which will include laws on social services, reproductive health, family Doctor, social protection of young families, limitation of smoking, develop a code on health and social protection, making amendments and additions to the codes on labor and family, and renaming laws on patient rights to bioethics law.
