Azerbaijan Tourism Agencies Association announces tourist daily expenses
Azerbaijan, Baku, June 7 / Trend, I. Isabalayeva /
The expenses of tourists in Azerbaijan should not exceed 30-40 manat per day, ATAA Consultant Chairman Muzaffar Agakerimov told Trend.
He said their daily expenses should include food prices and other factors. Agakerimov said there are also shortages in compiling menu. Prices on menu are written without indicating the weight of food. Changes should be made in the menu in this regard, he said.
"Only price of meals are indicated on menu of tourism facilities and restaurants. Only the drinks are indicate with grams on the menu. It is a gross mistake. It causes a number of negative cases. If grams are indicated, visitors will be able to order food they can afford," Agakerimov said.
ATAA was created with support from the Culture and Tourism Ministry in April 2009. The Association takes measures to develop tourism in Azerbaijan, creates conditions for the development of relations between local tourism companies.
More than 200 licensed travel agencies and about 300 hotels and hotel-type facilities operate in Azerbaijan.
