The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources clarified the information on the cases of fish infection in the Caspian Sea.
"At present, the state of fish is normal in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea," acting director of the biological resources protection department under the ministry Gabil Mammadov told Trend. There are no problems associated with this."
"The information was disseminated by the Iranian side," he said. "But it is unknown whether it is true. This virus was not detected in Azerbaijan."
According to the information disseminated by the Iranian Fisheries Research Institute, grey mullet was infected in the Iranian sector of the Caspian Sea.
