Azerbaijani students will get the discount cards and they will have a number of preferential services, the head of the department under the Ministry Youth and Sports Farhad Hajiyev told Trend.
He said that the work is underway to make "Azerbaijani student card". The cards are designed to provide students with benefits in libraries, vehicles and other public facilities.
He added that the discount cards will be made until next year.
European youth discount card (EYCA) will be also widespread among students, chairman of the Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations' Union Shahin Ismayilov told Trend.
"This certificate is the student's ticket in Europe and the discount card," he said. "It is issued to the people aged 12-30."
EYCA cards are included into the European discount system and supported by the Council of Europe, the European Union, the CE Directorate of Youth and Sport, the European Youth Forum, the European voluntary service, etc.
