Azerbaijan has achieved major success in the holding of elections over the past years, Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Administrative and Territorial Department Head Zeynal Nagdaliyev said at an event organized by the Central Election Commission (CEC).

The event was devoted to the launch of specialized courses for the chairmen of the District Electoral Commissions.

"Azerbaijan has already resolved the problem of electoral campaigning, has allocated special places, and no longer experiences chaos from the spread of propaganda materials," Nagdaliyev added.

Over the past years, among the main issues affecting the election was solved by the defining of the list of voters, he said.

"This gave us an opportunity to have a real voter prospective," Nagdaliyev said.
Nagdaliyev said Azerbaijan must improve the knowledge and legal literacy of its electoral officials.
Although the country will not hold elections in 2011, the chairmen of the District Electoral Commissions will discuss issues concerning them at the courses organized for them.
The CEC launched legal specialist courses today for the chairmen of the District Electoral Commissions.

Upon President Ilham Aliyev's order "On the Approval of the National Action Plan for the Protection of Human Rights in Azerbaijan," the courses are aimed to increase awareness in the electoral sphere related to fulfilling tasks assigned to the CEC and to improve the training of the District Electoral Commission chairmen.
