MP: Inviolability of Azerbaijani citizen’s private property protected by law

The attempt to take a citizen's private property is illegal, Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights Chairman Rabiyat Aslanova told media on Friday, expressing his attitude toward the recent incident in the Guba region on March 1.

"We live in a legal state and all processes must be held in accordance with the law," she said. "There are corresponding bodies to solve problems in Azerbaijan. On this basis, the causes of the incident will be investigated."

In any case, all problems must be resolved within the law, and arbitrariness is unacceptable, she said.

Expressing her attitude to the burning of the Guba region executive power head's house, Aslanova said Azerbaijan has the right to property must be inviolable.
