Specialists of the U.S. company Kinemetrics will visit Azerbaijan in order to install first sea bottom seismic stations in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea in June, Republican Seismological Service Center at the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences told Trend on Monday.
During their visit Kinemetrics company's specialists will hold preparatory and measuring work involving local specialists of Azerbaijan to install first sea bottom stations.
It is planned to install the stations in the next 3-4 months.
The stations will be installed on the seabed around Shah-Deniz, Umid and Azeri fields.
The Azerbaijani side and the U.S. company Kinemetrics signed a contract last year to install bottom stations in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.
