The Azerbaijani Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Education of China signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of education for 2012-2015.
The agreement was signed by Minister of Education of Azerbaijan Misir Mardanov and ambassador of China to Azerbaijan Hong Juyin.
The agreement provides cooperation in education, teacher and student exchanges and development of mutual relations between the institutions.
Currently 31 Azerbaijani students have been studying in Chinese universities, 16 of whom are learning through scholarships granted by Azerbaijan.
To date there are 17 citizens of Azerbaijan who have graduated from Chinese universities. Some 207 Chinese have been studying in Azerbaijan.
