A cellar and burial related to Shirvan khanate were discovered during archaeological excavations by the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography.

The archaeological excavation of the VII medieval city of Agsu is being researched, the expedition told Trend today.

Ancient ruins of brick with a total area of 243.3 square meters and the length of 34.6 meters, width - 11.7 meters, depth - 7.1 meters, wall thickness of 1.9 meters, as well as household ceramics, copper goods, silver and gold coins were found in this territory.

According to the specialists, they refer to the middle of the 18th century during the reign of Mustafa Khan.


Household items, jewelry, coins, pieces of glass and porcelain were found there.
