Lessons cancelled at Turkish schools due to adverse weather

School classes were cancelled in connection with bad weather in some Turkish provinces, Turkish newspaper Yeni Safak said today.
According to the newspaper, citing the Education Ministry, the lessons were canceled, particularly in the province of Van, where the temperature reached 12 degrees below zero.
Sharp frost has been observed in Turkey since last week. Forecasters predict heavy snowfall this week in many provinces.
