Transportation plans for the first European Olympic Games to be held in Baku in 2015 are in the spotlight, Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov told journalists.
According to him, specialists who participated in organizing the Olympic Games in London and Athens are involved in transportation department efforts related to the "European Olympic Games - 2015".
"Our French specialists have great experience," Rahimov said.
"Special shuttle bust service will run during the European Olympic Games," he added. "They will transport people to sport complexes."
"Joint operations are being conducted with the Transport Ministry and the Baku Traffic Police on solving transport issues," Rahimov said.
"We hope that people will not face difficulties during the European Olympic Games in June 2015," the minister said.
"Much depends on the will of Baku residents to prevent traffic problems," Rahimov said.
A decision was made at the General Assembly of the European Olympic Committee in December 2012 to hold the first European Olympic Games in Baku in 2015. The organising committee, chaired by the First Lady, president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Mehriban Aliyeva was established to ensure the successful holding of this important event.
