The military helicopters made combat flights at another stage of joint exercises of the Azerbaijani and Turkish Air Forces, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said Sept. 29.
While making various maneuvers during conventional battles, the pilots fired on ground targets in support of ground troops.
More than 30 airplanes, in particular MIG-24, F-16 fighter jets, C-130 Hercules military transport aircraft, Su-25 stormtroopers, Mi-24, AH-1W Super Cobra attack helicopters and Mi-17 and Sikorski UH-60 military transport helicopters are involved in the exercises.
The joint air exercises between the two countries will continue until Oct. 3.
