Baku, Azerbaijan, Aug. 19
Azerbaijani citizens started visiting Turkey less, head of the tourism management of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Aydin Ismiyev told Trend August 19.
He said that in comparison with last year, the flow of tourists from Azerbaijan to different cities in Turkey decreased by 20 percent.
Head of management linked the reduction in flow of tourists to the increasing number of terrorist attacks in Turkey.
"Every summer, Azerbaijani tourists rest at various resorts in Turkey," said Ismiyev. "However, according to information provided to us from the tourist companies, this year most of the tourists refused to travel to Turkey due to the persistence of terrorist acts. I believe that after the stabilization of the situation in Turkey, our citizens will want to rest in this country again."
