Azerbaijani Ministry of Agriculture will purchase 6.5 million ocular vaccines for sheep with total value of $882,050 from the British "Networks Europe L.P." company, said the report from the World Bank.
The British company won the tender announced by the Ministry in cooperation with the World Bank within the framework of the project "Strengthening the competitiveness of the agricultural sector."
Networks Europe L.P. has to supply vaccines within two months.
The company was founded in 2011; the company's office is based in Scotland.
"Strengthening the competitiveness of the agricultural sector" project was approved by the Sept. 30, 2013; its total cost is $53.25 million.
The aim of the project - to facilitate access for financing agricultural producers by strengthening sanitary and phytosanitary services, expansion of selected marketing chains, the provision of financial services to companies operating in this field.
The project is scheduled for completion on Dec. 31, 2018.
Azerbaijan became a WB member in1992.
