Azerbaijan's Consulate General in Istanbul is reviewing through the Turkish state agencies whether there are any Azerbaijani citizens are among those injured and killed in the terrorist attack committed in Istanbul, says Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry.

"The Foreign Ministry strongly condemns the bloody terrorist attack committed in Istanbul June 7 and extends its deepest condolences to the families and relatives of the victims and the fraternal Turkish people, and wishes speedy recovery to those injured," said the Ministry in a message June 7.

"As a country suffering from terrorism, Azerbaijan strongly condemns all the forms of terrorism, and supports international community's efforts to fight it," added the Foreign Ministry.

A police car was blown up in Istanbul June 7. Eleven people were killed and 36 were injured as a result of the explosion. According to the preliminary reports, the PKK terrorist group carried out the attack.
