Azerbaijan needs to increase investment in science and education, Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Science and Education Bakhtiyar Aliyev said at a plenary meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliament on Nov. 14.
"Nowadays, large-scale reforms are being conducted at Azerbaijan's National Academy of Sciences. To continue these reforms, it is necessary to provide major financial assistance at the initial stage," Aliyev said.
Aliyev also noted that allocating ANAS at least 50 million manats at the initial stage will make a great contribution to the development of Azerbaijani science, strengthening the country's economy.
