Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) and the State Service for Antimonopoly Control and Supervision of the Consumer Market under the Ministry of Economy have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov said that he was happy to see the guests at the university. Speaking about the importance of the document, the rector stressed that cooperation between BHOS and the State Service would be mutually beneficial.
“Baku Higher Oil School is a clear example of the successful implementation of President Ilham Aliyev’s policy on “Turning oil capital into human capital”. BHOS trains highly qualified personnel for various sectors of the economy, including industry. The signed document will allow BHOS students and graduates to gain experience and work in multidisciplinary areas of the State Service for Antimonopoly Control and Supervision of the Consumer Market. This Memorandum is also important in terms of helping to organize the transformation of various studies conducted at BHOS into business. Conducting business administration classes by specialists from the State Service is also one of the areas that promote cooperation,” said Elmar Gasimov.
Speaking at the event, Head of the State Service for Antimonopoly Control and Supervision of the Consumer Market, Mammad Abbasbeyli, said that he had got acquainted with the BHOS campus. He praised the conditions created here. Mammad Abbasbeyli emphasized the importance of joint activities to achieve long-term goals.
“The development of human capital is the most important factor, and BHOS contributes to our society and our country. During our tour of the university, we felt proud of the conditions and the material and technical base created here. The academic environment created here will contribute to the development of our country in the medium and long term. Professional staff trained at BHOS can play an important role in this development, working both in our and other structures. Young, professional staff is the future of our country. We are grateful to the leadership and teaching staff of Baku Higher Oil School for their merits in the formation of such high-qualified personnel. Baku Higher Oil School is an exemplary educational institution in terms of public procurement as well,” Mammad Abbasbeyli said.
Then, Rector of Baku Higher Oil School Elmar Gasimov and Head of the State Service for Antimonopoly Control and Supervision of the Consumer Market Mammad Abbasbeyli signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
The Memorandum provides for the organization of internships and summer practice programs for university students, mutual cooperation in the use of modern technologies and the results of scientific developments in the field of education, joint implementation of innovative activities in the field of education and technology. Under the document, it is planned to conduct joint projects and research, organize conferences, trainings and seminars, as well as to provide employment for special honors graduates. One of the areas of cooperation envisaged in the document is the organization of advanced training courses for employees of the Civil Service on the basis of BHOS advanced training programs, the involvement of specialists from the Civil Service in educational processes as lecturers, practice mentors, etc., holding "Career Days" at BHOS to inform students about the activities of the Civil Service and the vacancies available there.
At the end of the event, Mammad Abbasbeyli was presented with a plaque "Guest of Honor" of Baku Higher Oil School.
