Sweden will render assistance to Azerbaijan in coordinating the problems of migration from the country. Such intentions of the Swedish government have been voiced during the visit of the Swedish Minister of migration and granting asylum Barbro Holmberg to Azerbaijan, the head of the department on problems of refugees and internally displaced persons, migration and work with international institutions under the Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers Gurban Sadikhov told Trend.

According to Sadikhov, the problem of migration is not the problem of individual countries, it is the world problem and the countries are to interact in the issue. Azerbaijan is ready to study the experience of the developed countries in this respect, including Sweden, he noted. The two countries may cooperate closely in the migration processes regulation, renewal of the Azerbaijan’s legal base, as well as coordinating the migration problem from Azerbaijan to Sweden. Specific trends of cooperation have been identified in the framework of the visit, Sadikhov noted.
