The next meeting of the Presidium of the Bar will consider increase in the number of lawyers on Friday, Farhad Najafov, the deputy chairman of the Bar, told Trend.
He noted that the issue was related to the presidential decree on modernization of the legal system of Azerbaijan and application of Law on inclusion of changes and suppliments to some legislative acts of Azerbaijan. The major task of the Bar is to increase number of lawyers and render effective legal aid to the population in the regions, taking into consideration the decree envisaging opening of new courts. Najafov stressed that the meeting would also discuss 13 aplications on membership to the Bar.
