Leading Azeri gymnasts Dinara Gimatova and Anna Gurbanova wil participate in the international tournament Derugena Cup starting in Kiev on 17 March.
The strongest sportswomen will joint the competition, particularly, all-round world champion Olga Kapranova and Vera Sessina from Russia, Anna Bessonova and Natalia Godunko from Ukraine, and others, Trend reports. The Azerbaijani gymnasts will arrive in Kiev in good spirits, taking into consideration the performance by Gimatova and Gurbanova at the championship in Italy, where they gained medals. Thus, they are able to struggle for high places and reach the final both in separate programs and all-round competitions.
It should be mentioned that Alina Babayeva, who decided to miss the competitions, will not leave for Kiev.
