Azerbaijan ha its goals as active member of UN Human Rights Council deputy Foreign Minister

Azerbaijan is going to be an active member of the UN Human Rights Council, taking into consideration its 3-year membership, Trend reports quoting Mahmud Mamedkuliyev, deputy Foreign minister of Azerbaijan.

В"In 2005, Azerbaijan was elected to human rights commission, but this structure was dismissed recently, - Azeri official said.

В"Within the framework of the new Human Rights Council members are elected for 1, 2 and 3 years; Azerbaijan will be a member for 3 yearsВ", - Mamedkuliyev said, adding that Human Rights Council today unites 47 countries.
