Presentation of Central Eurasia Analytical YB Held in Baku

A presentation of the new analytical year-book Central Eurasia, and the first issue of the journal aimed at social, political, and economic researches Caucasus and Globalization has been held today. Representatives of scientific circles and experts from many other countries took part at the arrangement, Trend reports.

Director of the Institute for Strategic Researches of Caucasus Eldar Ismayilov opened the arrangement. He pointed out that the institute has operated since 1999. The key aim of the organization is to analyze and forecast main geopolitical and geoecomomic process happening in the Caucasus. Two publishing houses have been established under the institute. The institute issues a number of collections in Azerbaijan I and English. Among them journals the institute presents to its readers today.

According to Mr. Ismayilov, YB Central Eurasia is a joint project of the Institute for Strategic Researches of Caucasus and Sweden`s Central Asia and Caucasus Institute. The implementation of the project is connected with the necessity to reveal and give explanations to objective trends of the social life development, real cooperation, and integration of Central Eurasian countries as an important condition of their stable and dynamic development.

Director of the John Hopkins Central Asia and Caucasus University Frederic Star, Director on Researches of Central Asia and Caucaus of the same university Svante Cornell, Head Specialist of Sasakawa Fund Akira Matsunaga, Corresponding member of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences Vladimir Papava, Doctor of Political Sciences Murad Esenov delivered their speeches at the arrangement.
