Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend I.Alizade/ "An appeal will be made to the European Court on Human Rights with regards to the case of the officer of the Azerbaijani Army, Ramil Safarov, who is accused of killing the officer of the Armenian army Gurgen Markaryan," said Azay Guliyev, member of the Co-ordination Center on Protection of Safarov Rights.
He said that the decision of the Appeal Court of Hungary on holding valid the decision sentencing Ramil Safarov to life-imprisonment is unfair decision. "Therefore, after we made a complaint to the Supreme Court of Hungary, we should appeal to the European Court on Human Rights," he said.
On 21 February the Appeal Court of Hungary held the sentence on life-imprisonment of Ramil Safarov in force. Ramil Safarov is accused of killing the officer of the Armenian army Gurgen Markaryan.
