( news.sawf.org ) - King of Pop Michael Jackson has reportedly bought the publishing rights for American rapper Eminem's back catalog. The pop icon has grabbed the rights of Eminem's huge hit 'The Real Slim Shady' from the 'Marshall Mathers LP' and 'Without Me' an apparent sequel to the song in which the rapper made derogatory comments about boy bands, 'Limp Bizkit', 'Moby', and 'Lynne Cheney', among others.

Jackson has also obtained the rights of songs by Shakira, Beck and Bjork under this deal where he purchased Famous Music LLC from American media conglomerate Viacom for an undisclosed amount.

The 'Black Or White' singer, who also owns 'The Beatles' copyright revealed that he is 'pleased' to add these hits to ATV Music Publishing, in which he is a majority shareholder "This is a milestone event for Sony/ATV Music Publishing. The diverse collection of songs in this catalog range from timeless classics to contemporary hits, and I am pleased to add the acquisition of Famous Music to Sony/ ATV," said Michael Jackson.

Eminem's fourth album, 'Encore' which was a chart-topper was driven by its hit single 'Just Lose It', notable for lampooning Michael Jackson.
