Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Ilhamgizi / Shahvalad Chobanoglu, the editor of the 'Gundalik Azerbaijan' newspaper, has stated that the document regarding problems facing Azerbaijani media will be discussed at the meeting of Azerbaijani journalists scheduled for 29 June.
According to Chobanoglu, the document will offer variants to resolve the current complicated situations. The document will be submitted to the ruling party and international organizations.
The forum dedicated to the situation of the Azerbaijani press will discuss current media problems.
Representatives of international organizations, press associations, foreign media representatives will be invited to meeting.
Preparation for the meeting, following the up-coming 29 June forum, might continue until September. But the forum may instead be held on 22 July, the eve of National Press Day, Chobanoglu said.
Presently, seven Azerbaijani journalists are imprisoned.
