Rene Van Der Linden, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), showed his disappointment after the cancellation of a football match between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
"Sports is an extremely interesting and important tool for bringing the nations closer," the PACE chairman noted.
Earlier, UEFA canceled both matches in the qualifying tournament of the European championship between the national teams of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
