Azerbaijan. Baku / Тrend corr Z. Safarov / The European Field Hockey Men's Championships in Challenge division which will be attended by Azerbaijan has changed its format.
According to the Secretary General of Azerbaijani National Field Hockey Federation, earlier it was planned to hold the competition to begin in Kazan, Russian Federation on 9 August in groups, but now its was decided to establish a round robin. Greek hockey players changed their mind at lat moment refusing to visit Russia. Thus, the round tournament will be attended by Russian, Belarusian, Denmark, Swedish, Croatian, and Azerbaijani teams.
The teams to take the first two places will be admitted to Trophy.
