Azerbaijan's value of export to Tunisia grows in 7M2021

The value of exports from Azerbaijan to Tunisia from January through July 2021 grew, compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports citing the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.

According to the SCC, this indicator totaled $330.5 million, having risen by 47.69 percent compared to the first seven months of 2020 ($172.8 million).

The share of Tunisia in total exports of Azerbaijan from January through July 2021 reached 2.9 percent, while a year earlier this figure was 1.89 percent.

At the same time, Azerbaijan’s imports from Tunisia decreased by 23.77 percent to $1.6 million compared to the first seven months of last year ($2.1 million), and the share of Tunisia in total imports of Azerbaijan made up 0.03 percent against 0.04 percent recorded a year ago, the bulletin said.

The volume of foreign trade operations between the two countries from January through July 2021 exceeded $332.1 million, which is 47.3 percent more than in the same period of 2020 ($174.9 million), said the SCC bulletin.

Azerbaijan's total foreign trade turnover in the reporting period approached $17.7 billion. Of these, exports accounted for nearly $11.4 billion (64.4 percent), and imports - $6.3 billion (35.6 percent).

Besides, the balance of foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan, remaining positive, increased by 57.7 percent on annual basis - up to 5 billion manat ($2.94 billion).
